Through the generosity of an anonymous donor, the School of Psychology & Counseling at LeTourneau University is excited to have the opportunity to provide the Marshall Undergraduate Scholar Award.
Scholarship Details
- Scholarship Amount: $5,000.00
- Award Criteria:
- Must be enrolled at LeTourneau University with a declared major within the School of Psychology & Counseling (BSPY, PSYA, PSYS, PSCP). Candidates may be of freshman or sophomore status.
- Must be enrolled full-time (12 hours) each semester at LeTourneau University and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or greater in the program.
- Must exhibit the core values of LeTourneau University, including character, service, honesty, integrity, scholarship, and a worldview that reflects the same (an essay is required as part of the application)
- Renewable: No
- Award frequency: One-time assignment. This award establishes a scholarship fund in the amount of $5,000.00. The entire amount is awarded to one student. It is also possible that no award would be given if there are not any qualified applicants.
- Committee: A committee composed of (1) the Dean of the School of Psychology & Counseling, (2) the Director of the LeTourneau University Counseling Center, (3) Adjunct Faculty in the School of Psychology & Counseling, and (4) a family representative of the anonymous donor will make award decisions.
- Timeline:
- Applications are due by February 14
- Award decision will be made by March 21
- Awardee has until April 1 to notify the committee of acceptance or rejection of award.

- What are some social, religious, and intellectual influences that have shaped your worldview? Is your worldview cohesive, fully articulated, and well established, or is it unclear, unconscious, or in development?
- What are some of those key Christian worldview positions concerning human nature that influence your approach to psychology/counseling?
