This transformative, state-of-the-art engineering and entrepreneurship building, equipped with more than 25 premier labs, will deliver the cutting-edge learning environments that prepare LeTourneau students for rapidly evolving industries. At the heart of campus, the building will house Engineering, Business, Computer Science, and the Center for Academic Ministry, fostering faith, innovation, and partnerships across disciplines.
The building, to be named for LeTourneau University alum Phil Burks, will advance LeTourneau’s position as the destination for Christian polytechnic education.
This landmark building is the centerpiece of this campaign. It is the crucial next step in LeTourneau's leadership in distinctively Christian polytechnic education. In so many ways, it represents who LeTourneau University is and who we're becoming together, and it will create new opportunities to do in the future what LeTourneau has always done: produce the most skilled, innovative, well-rounded, and committed graduates anywhere. ”
Engineering is evolving rapidly, and preparing students to excel in their careers demands state-of-the-art learning environments to provide students with the knowledge, experience, and skills they’ll need. Engineering and entrepreneurship are core to LETU’s identity, and a center that integrates these disciplines at the heart of our campus will drive partnership, excellence, and innovation. The Christian Polytechnic University Center will:
Advance learning spaces to match the speed of innovation.
Enhance recruitment and retention of students and faculty.
Create flexibility for dynamically changing industries.
Catalyze innovation and creative problem-solving in a hands-on "sandbox" environment.
